Who are we ?

EXPLAIN is a team of consultants and experts specialised in transportation planning.

Founded in October 2014, EXPLAIN was born out of a group of experienced consultants who shared common values, experience and a culture acquired within MVA Consultancy, one of the most renowned international consultancies in this field.

Our common history allows EXPLAIN to offer its clients and partners a team of highly motivated specialists ready to deliver in an efficient manner.

Our mission

Our mission is to work with Governments and States, Local Authorities and operators to develop and evaluate transportation policies, transportation strategies and transportation projects. We also work with developers and financial institutions to help develop their projects in a cost effective manner. As a result of our work, our clients make choices and decisions based on sound anaylsis and objective advice, succinctly summarized.

Our competencies cover all aspects of transportation planning: behavioural modelling, cost benefit analysis, network optimisation, traffic engineering, household survey and roadside interviews, etc.
