Mobility expertise — ZAC des Alagniers in Rillieux-la-Pape

The Alagniers district, which is undergoing profound changes, will eventually welcome nearly 1,000 new homes And the rehabilitation of 923 social housing units.
Explain conducted a global mobility diagnosis integrating:

• Les current and future flows generated by the transformations of the neighborhood.
• Les connections with the surrounding neighborhoods, pedestrian and cycling continuities.
• Analysis of the guide plan and of the hierarchy of the road network (one-way traffic, new roads, parking, road sharing).

This work, conducted iteratively with urban designers and project management, made it possible to propose fine adaptations reconciling functional coherence and urban quality.

The study made it possible to secure the development plan and to consolidate the overall vision of the project.The partnership approach undertaken by Explain encouraged a constructive dialogue between urban planners and technicians, guaranteeing coherence between mobility, landscape and uses.

Based on open and constructive exchanges, iterative work with the public spaces project management team and the project lead architect leads to a coherent treatment of the various spaces in the neighborhood that goes beyond a simple juxtaposition.
