Trained in France, the United States and the United Kingdom, Pierre became a specialist in socio-economic assessment and multimodal modeling; he managed projects for major public and private clients in a dozen countries.

Before creating EXPLAIN, he directed MVA Consultancy in France and the United Kingdom, a global reference in transport planning.

His international experience and his methodological requirements guide Explain's vision today.

Alexandre has nearly 25 years of experience in transport planning and has worked as a project manager and project director on numerous large-scale studies. His experience covers a large part of the mobility planning professions, through contributions in traffic forecasting at various scales, territorial diagnosis and planning, project evaluation.

Alexandre has acquired recognized expertise in socio-economic evaluation, through numerous assessments carried out, and regular intervention as a counter-expert with State services in the field.

An expert in macroscopic multimodal modeling, Laurent has 22 years of experience in design offices and applied research. He supervised the development of a large number of tools at national (MODEV, Bison Futé), Regional (MMR) or urban levels (Lille, Rouen, Montpellier, Toulouse), as well as various strategic missions for the DGITM. He manages the R&D activity at Explain and manages our Lille office.

With more than 20 years of experience, Valentine manages complex studies for public or private developers. She works on issues of intermodality, traffic and the integration of public transport, with a recognized mastery of static and dynamic modeling tools.

A civil engineer for bridges, Lorène has solid experience in mobility planning and intermodality engineering. From Bangkok to Paris, she has supported numerous mobility projects by integrating the challenges of urban connection, accessibility to all modes and the legibility of territories.

A graduate of UTC, Aline has nearly 22 years of experience in travel planning, socio-economic studies and traffic engineering. She has intervened on a wide range of issues, at all scales. Aline has developed particular expertise in the socio-economic studies of transport projects.

With more than 25 years of experience, Laurent combines technical expertise and a transversal vision of mobility. A specialist in the links between transport, health and the environment, he supports communities and developers in planning, traffic studies and decarbonization procedures. He also contributed to the dissemination of knowledge within ENTPE and Lyon 3 University.

Nicolas has more than 14 years of experience in transport planning and modeling, from urban to national levels, on all modes and scales (static, dynamic, micro, macro). A recognized expert, he has led numerous projects for the development of models and the evaluation of transport projects. He also leads innovative R&D work for EXPLAIN, focusing on demand forecasting, traffic modeling and interactive visualization of mobility data. An engineer trained between France and Canada, Nicolas provides projects with recognized expertise in multimodal modeling and demand analysis. It has contributed to structuring tools such as the national MODEV model and is involved in a wide variety of projects: planning, rail forecasts, surveys, LUTI.

Sofiane is an economist specialized inevaluation of public policies and investments, which he applies to the fields of mobility, the environment and energy.Before joining Explain, he worked for several years at British civil service, in particular as Chief Economist at the Ministry of Transport, where he led impact studies on maritime infrastructure and regulation. He then Joins theINERIS , where he conducted socioeconomic evaluations for national and European projects related to energy transition and environmental health.Graduated from Master's degree in economics and the APE master's degree from the Paris School of Economics, Sofiane Allie analytical rigor and interdisciplinary approach, mobilizing quantitative and behavioral methods to inform public decision-making.

An engineer graduated from UTC, Siffhas 13 years of experience in the design, monitoring and evaluation of mobility projects. She has worked as a project manager (SNCF Réseau, Toulouse Métropole) as well as in a design office (Egis, AuAT), and masters both strategic studies and technical tools: travel models, socio-economic assessments, socio-economic assessments, traffic plans or restructuring of TC offers. She joined EXPLAIN in 2025.

With more than 10 years of experience in mobility engineering, Jules works on complex traffic management and travel regulation projects. He worked at Vinci Autortes and Lee Sormea before joining EXPLAIN in 2023. He has managed large-scale projects in signalling and site support, particularly on the A480 in Grenoble, as well as on urban and interurban traffic plans.

Baptiste works on missions combining technical expertise and territorial vision. Trained at ENTPE and at the research master Transport, Networks and Territories, he specialized in mobility modeling, working in particular on the management of multimodal models. He mobilizes his skills to combine development projects, travel planning and sustainable development.

An engineer specialized in transport, Alexandra works on missions ranging from a detailed understanding of the operation of a transport network to planning issues. Before joining EXPLAIN, she worked at RATP Dev in Aix-les-Bains and at Kisio, where she contributed to the reduction of congestion on the Dijon tram network. Today, it is mobilizing its expertise to support local authorities and operators in optimizing their networks.

A reference modeler with more than 20 years of international experience, Malik has managed complex projects in France, Australia and Asia. He masters all multimodal modeling techniques, from data processing to scenario analysis, and has in particular developed the four-stage model for the New Delhi region (17 million inhabitants). A recognized trainer on Cube Voyager, he combines technical expertise and operational know-how.

An engineer graduated from École Centrale de Lyon, Paul specializes in multimodal modeling and the evaluation of transport projects, especially in urban and rail environments. He mobilizes his expertise to quantify the effects of projects on attendance and to analyze their socio-economic impact. He works at EXPLAIN as a project manager.

An engineer from ENTPE, Théo specialized in travel modeling and engineering, with a double degree focused on “Mobility in megacities”. Before joining EXPLAIN, he worked for five years in a design office and in the development of modeling software tools. Today, he puts his mastery of mobility practices and traffic analysis tools at the service of projects.

An architect and urban planner trained in Chile, Gabriel joined EXPLAIN after a first experience in applied research on active mobility. A specialist in sustainable mobility, he develops analysis tools focused on users and territories. He works on studies combining the challenges of development, use and ecological transitions, with a particular focus on bicycle mobility.

An engineer graduated from ENTPE and holder of a Master in Urban and Regional Transport for Persons (Lyon 2), Maxence puts his expertise in travel modeling and evaluation at the service of projects. Its versatility and its culture of urban and interurban mobility issues allow it to intervene on various missions, alongside local authorities or developers.

An engineer graduated from ENTPE, Florent specialized in transport during his training. He works at EXPLAIN on planning, traffic or modeling projects, using a rigorous approach and a good command of analysis tools.

A graduate of ENTPE, Loris specialized in mobility engineering. He works at EXPLAIN on a variety of studies, mobilizing his technical skills to support territories in the implementation of effective and sustainable travel policies.

A DPLG architect and urban planner, Marylène brings a spatial and sensitive approach to mobility projects. With more than 10 years of experience in an agency, she joined EXPLAIN to put her expertise at the service of traffic studies and development projects. It ensures the urban integration of mobility solutions, in close connection with environmental and universal accessibility issues.

An engineer graduated from ENTPE, Mélanie has specialized in mobility issues since her training. She works at EXPLAIN on a wide variety of studies, ranging from transport planning to travel analysis, thanks to a solid technical culture and a transversal approach to issues.

Tangi works at EXPLAIN as a research manager. Trained in cognitive sciences, he brings an original look at travel practices. He is mainly involved in missions to develop and operate travel models.

Marie works at EXPLAIN as a research manager. Coming from a background in electronics and modeling, she puts her analytical skills at the service of mobility studies. In particular, it is involved in the construction and operation of travel models.

Louis works at EXPLAIN as a research manager. Trained at the École des Mines in Saint-Étienne, he specialized in transport engineering. It contributes to mobility planning and analysis studies, with a rigorous and field-oriented approach.

Raphael is currently a CIFRE doctoral student, supervised by IMT, the CRISTAL laboratory and EXPLAIN. His research focuses on the collection of mobility data via non-intrusive solutions. Specialized in data science, he mobilizes his skills to analyze mobility behaviors and support modeling work. He contributes to various projects developing solutions radically based on artificial intelligence.

Léonard works at EXPLAIN as a research manager. With a background in economics and planning, he mobilizes his dual skills to contribute to various projects, from demand analysis to travel modeling.

Constance works at EXPLAIN as a research manager, and works mainly on static modeling projects, especially at long distances.

Quentin works at EXPLAIN as a research manager. Trained at ISAT, he specialized in transport infrastructures and networks. He participates in dynamic modeling, socio-economic assessment and strategic planning studies, providing technical rigor and mastery of analytical tools.

Robin works at EXPLAIN as a research manager. Trained in sustainable mobility and travel policies, he developed his skills at SNCF Voyageurs. Today, he works on projects combining territorial analysis, mobility strategy and technical expertise.

A graduate of UTC (University of Technology of Compiègne) in Urban Engineering, Anne-Sophie specialized in planning, mobility and transport issues. After an end-of-studies internship at Explain, she joined the team as a Research Manager. Curious and committed, she uses her dual technical and territorial culture to support local authorities in their sustainable mobility projects.
