The station of Val d'Europe Montévrain Constitutes a strategic travel hub, serving both a major employment area and a changing territory marked by the presence of Four ZACs.
Faced with these dynamics, the Agglomeration Community and its partners wanted to have a global and structured vision of the station hub, integrating all modes of transport and future urban developments.

Explain has developed an in-depth analysis of the exchange center and its environment, based on a approach strongly rooted in field experience.
The approach combined:

  • Of user surveys, making it possible to understand the practices, expectations and difficulties encountered;
  • Of detailed site visits, in order to identify functional, spatial and operational constraints;
  • a perspective of these observations with the current and future travel needs, at the territorial level.

Based on this, several scenarios for the evolution of the trading center were developed and compared.
The scenario selected was then thoroughgoing, in order to specify the strategic choices, the organization of flows and the arrangements necessary for the proper functioning of the station hub.

The last phase of the mission consisted of formalization of the reference diagram for the Val d'Europe cluster, a framework document intended to guide future development operations and public decisions.
