Improving and securing active mode traffic — Hôpital Lyon Sud

The site, in transformation with the construction of new buildings and the reorganization of parking, is part of a changing environment marked by Extension of subway B and the creation of a New neighborhood next door.
Explain led to:

• One complete field diagnosis (counts, interviews, internal workshops).
• The development of a Overall traffic pattern for all modes.
• The production of a Car/bike/pedestrian staking plan And of a Pedestrian action plan (continuities, passages, signage).
• Of operational recommendations on traffic and bike parking.

The hospital site has a full reference document, combining strategic vision and concrete action plan.The proposals formulated by Explain facilitate the immediate implementation of work while preparing for the integration of the site into the future urban fabric of southern Lyon.

Our study involves a global approach, both in terms of theme (car traffic, pedestrian paths, bicycle traffic and parking) and programming with a long-term strategic vision, implemented in an operational manner in the very short term, with the manufacture of pedestrian marking signs, and a work program for pedestrian facilities.
