Bicycle parking study — Collège Jean Vilar

The study took place over an analysis area of 3 km around the middle school, combining observation, field diagnosis and exchanges with the teaching teams.
Explain has created:

• One comprehensive diagnosis of the supply and demand for bicycle parking.
• One simplified analysis of cycling facilities surroundings.
• One sizing proposal technical and financial aspects of the future shelter, adapted to potential occupancy.

The study allowed CD78 to plan a relevant and sustainable development, guaranteeing the safety and visibility of active modes.The lessons of the diagnosis are now feeding into the Departmental cycling policy for schools.

The diagnosis carried out makes it possible to identify the policy challenges for active modes and feeds the discussions of CD78 to develop their practice.
The parking proposals made will encourage the use of bicycles by guaranteeing their safety.
